2009 MONASH BATTLE OF THE BANDS

 

And I swear it's the last time… I win Monash Battle of the Bands!

Local pop rock band And I Swear It's The Last Time was named winner of the Monash Push Start Battle of the Bands after their high-voltage performance on 26 June.

Eight bands contested the 'Battle' at Brentwood Secondary College before an enthusiastic music-loving crowd and last year's winners, The Quarters kept the crowd entertained whilst the judges deliberated.

Bands Breathe Their Last and Three Last Words earned recognition and much respect from the judges for their outstanding performances coming in second and third places repectively.

Judges from local music street press Beat Magazine, SYN and local music school Mr Music decided that And I Swear It's The Last Time deserved the full day recording session at Studio 52 as well as prizes from sponsors Fist 2 Face and Mr Music.

The band will also now be preparing for 'The Push' regional final to be held later this year for the chance to perform at next year's Push Over Festival.
