As a kid what would be the most exciting thing about school...besides the tuckshop and the playground. SCHOOL HOLIDAYS!! I think that’s true for anyone still at school really. I’m at uni and I still look forward to my breaks in-between classes and lectures, even though breaks mainly involve work and study. But what is there for kids to do during school holidays?
I am currently reminiscing about my childhood especially with my great depiction of a boy and a girl at the park (I shall call it: le park- abstract). I do know that now every school holidays there is a school holiday program held in the City of Monash full of fun stuff for kids to see & do. There are three different programs happening – one at Sussex Heights Primary school, one at Glendal primary and another at Jordanville Community Centre. So, if you have little siblings’ whom you love dearly or even cousins, neighbours or other kids you know I really recommend you let their parents know about the program.
I remember when I was younger I would go to these programs and it would be so much fun. You would make new friends from other schools and paint heaps of pictures that your parents thought were masterpieces. You got to play games, run around and take trips to different places. Our programs take in 5-12 year old primary school children and they do all this stuff plus more. You can play table tennis, chill out with a book and I think they even have cooking classes! So I encourage you to let parents know, that while they are working or studying themselves, there’s a fun way to occupy the kids during school holidays and they may even learn some new things too! The City of Monash Holiday Programs run each term and if you need further information please check out our website: www.myfs.org.au or call: 95183900
On that note I will love you and leave you now.

MYFS.org.au changes it's theme based on the time of day. Try coming back at night to see the stars, or in the morning for the sunrise, there are 4 themes in total... check them all out!
